Marigold & Ash is a concept for a neighborhood wine bar and small-plates restaurant — the kind of place where the lighting is low, the playlist is deliberate, and the menu changes with what's good that week. The brief we set for ourselves: build a brand that feels like the room itself. Warm, a little moody, never trying too hard.

The name plays on contrast — marigold for warmth and life, ash for smoke and shadow. That tension shaped everything: a logotype with soft, rounded letterforms set against a deep, almost-black backdrop; a palette that pairs burnt terracotta with charcoal and brass. The goal was a brand that reads as intimate and considered, not loud.
